Copy editing polishes your writing, allowing you to present yourself and your work in the best possible light. It is a word-by-word edit of your finished document, which corrects grammar, spelling, syntax, wording, and other technical elements. This ensures that your document is precise, concise, readable, professional, and ready for publication.
Copy editing is priced by the project. Ongoing copy editing work can be priced hourly.

Developmental Editing
Developmental editing focuses on the content and structure of your writing, empowering you to share your message in a clear, cohesive, and poignant manner. This includes elements such as: structure and organization; consolidation and expansion; identifying your main idea and key themes; and strengthening and refining your tone. Developmental editing should be completed prior to copy editing.
Developmental editing is priced by the project. Ongoing developmental editing work can be priced hourly.

Consultation
The goal of consultation is to empower you and your writing process. Consultation provides dedicated, individualized collaborative coaching for your writing. This may include brainstorming, developing or revising an outline, breaking through writer’s block, or creating a writing plan. Consultation can also include a layer of accountability.
Consultation can be done before or during developmental editing.
Pricing begins at seventy-five dollars ($75) per session.
